Hola, we need a new modem/router. I'm not that into networking, so I don't know that much, which is why I need your help. Our current rental router modem is pretty crap, and isn't holding up as well. Also, we want to get rid of the rental fee, etc. I'll try to be simple to explain what we need:

 - Cover at least about 3500 sq.ft so that every device in our house can connect to it just fine

 - We'll have about 22 devices connected to it at a time, obviously not all actively used, but still a fair bit will be actively used, also we usually have guests over very often so if it can handle their payload too.

 - We plan on getting Playstation Vue soon and cutting our cable, so if it can handle around 3 streams that'd be fine

 - Can't drop connections frequently, needs to be reliable to have all of our connections stable

 - Price range around $150-$200, maybe $250.

 - Our internet is delivered through Coax, so we'll need a Coax-capable modem and router, or both combined in one.

Thanks. I can answer any other questions if needed.

So you're going to need at least two separate devices there. You'll want a cable modem that is supported by your ISP, and you'll probably need two access points with one being a router... I have one ASUS AC 1750 router covering 3600 sq feet over two floors. So about 1800 Sq feet per floor. And it just barely covers it all.

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

Well, we only have a one floor house of about 3500-ish sq. ft, and just to say, the entire system won't be placed directly in the middle of the house, but more like between the middle of the house and edge of the house, as it's the only practical place we can put it unless we do some in-wall wiring.

Anyway, im looking and I see the Asus AC2400, I don't know how much cable modems cost but if it isn't much I might end up getting the AC2400 and some cable modem in the end. But if you have any other suggestions, please share!

If it was me, I'd get a lower end wired router and then Use two ubiquiti AC LR routers or 2 AC lites if the LRs aren't in budget. These Access points are amazing.
