Upgrading i3 2100 to i7 2600 on OEM Lenovo

My i7 2600 just came in the mail today. I paid $152.50 shipped eBay on Friday 2:30 AM, and received it on Tuesday before 9:00 AM from Jackson Beach FL. I will be installing this into a Lenovo K330A ideacentre with an i3 2100 and 12Gb of RAM. I am taking a chance, as this CPU is not on the list published by Lenovo. There was one guy on the interwebz however, claiming he installed this chip after getting nothing from tech support, and was successful. I have a Cryorig H7 cooler, and will be paring the CPU with my Windforce GTX 960 OC 4GB. Please wish me luck and I'll post back after my Arctic MX4 comes in the mail.

It will work, I'm almost certain. You are basically dealing with a if it "sits it fits" situation.

It should be fine, it's a Corsair CX430. I know not the greatest PSU but it should be good enough. If not I have an Antec Eathwatts 500W

Oh yeah, I have been running the GTX 960 for six months already. I can play GTAV on high settings at 1080p no problem for hours. I thought you were referring to the CPU change. My only concerns really are the increased TDP and BIOS support. Bios flashing might not be possible on this board, IDK. But according to the one report I found, it was not an issue.

I am happy to say that the CPU is in good working order and had no incompatibilities with the mother board. I picked up a rough average of 15 FPS in GTAV at high settings at 1080P, although i did not monitor temps.
