I have a HOF 980 ti and it has hit a barrier at 1485 Mhz. This is particularly annoying given my other card, a classified 980 ti is perfectly stable at 1550+ Mhz. Is there a way to overclock this card further? Is there a custom vBIOS or something like that that will allow the card to go a little further. I want to be able to hit 1500 with both cards because those look neat :D. My cards seem locked to 1.2 V not going any further even with MSI afterburner/EVGA precision X. Both cards are under waterblocks and do not hit 40+ Celsius each

Cheers :)

It has the hyperboost button. I am not sure if it is a dual bios switch though...

You can try a BIOS flash to increase voltage, but Maxwell and Pascal don't really scale CPU speed well with voltage increase when cooled via ambient methods.  Maxwell does awesome with voltage increases with more extreme means of cooling such as DICE or LN2, but not so much with air/water.

I flashed my 980 Ti cards when I had them and truthfully, overall overclocks were better with the stock BIOS.  It just took more tweaking to get there.

It feels like a real shame holding the classy back. I have done bios flashes on Alienware laptops before with great results. On this however, I feel a little more reluctant. I'll try playing along with the 980ti's auto balancing power rails, and downclock the memory and stuff to see if there is any improvement. I am pretty sure this is all this card has in it but there is no reason not to try. :) cheers

I'm sure that you'll get it there now that you're on water.  My 980 Tis were just reference PCB cards and they both did 1500+ on water.  ASIC scores on both were mid 80's.

Wow those are pretty good ASIC cards you have there. my classy is a 87.2 card whilst my HOF is a measly 72.9... oh well you cannot win them all. I'll try to push a little harder with the waterblock. Maybe it will change it's mind for me :P
