two speakers for two monitors

I am having trouble getting sound to play out of two speakers on one monitor and the sound out of the other when I extend the screens. Anyone know how to select specific audio to one monitor?

This isn't possible I'm afraid.

There may be some specialist software out there which can do it for you but if there is, I have no idea what it is.

Not sure what you mean by this.. Are you talking about built-in speakers on both monitors?

What are you trying to accomplish specifically?
