Swap coolers

i was wondering if you can change the cooler of an aftermarket GPU to a founders edition cooler?

For what? 

 

Aftermarket cards typically use a custom PCB which means that the FE cooler won't work. Now there are some aftermarket cards that use a stock PCB that it's possible on.

some you can unless the aftermarket gpu has a custom board. why would you want the founder edition cooler?

If the PCB layout is the same then yes, if not then probably not, though I don't know why you would want to

evga normal and sc cards, but they are exactly the same pcb. why would you want to but it only to swap out the cooler?
