Does the refresh rate of your monitor really make a difference in games like GTA 5 and Ark: Survival Evolved?

Kind of. If the refresh rate of your monitor is 20 hz then all of your games will look as if they are doing 20 fps, even if the game says its doing 69 fps

For those games the refresh rate isn't that important, but for competitive FPS games like CSGO and Battlefield it will make a difference.

Just be aware that not all games benefit enormously from high framerates, other than just feeling a little nicer to play. Some games are capped at 60, or other odd framerates. Some are just too poorly optimized to scale well to 120 FPS, regardless of your hardware. The best-case scenario is probably CS:GO, especially if you're very competitive about it.

75hz is good and 5ms are fast enough. As long you are no south korean pro gamer, you are fine ?

It feels smoother to play with 100+hz but you probably wont need it for those games, more for fast phased shooters, although i prefer 144hz in all games
