I'm looking to sell my Samsung laptop on eBay in order to purchase a thinner and more versatile ASUS Chromebook Flip for school.  The only problem with this is that a full charge now only lasts ~2 hours.  This laptop has a few years of age, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to resolve this.

Battery Info:

Samsung Rechargable Li-ion Battery

Product ID: AA-PB9NC6B

Let me know if you need more information that I might be able to supply.

i ordered a replacement for one of those a few months back.

i'll just put it like this: all of them are scams of some degree, its a matter of how much of a scam it is.

i ordered a 7200mAh battery from a semi-local retailer of replacement goods, i am now the worst review they had in years, and all buisiness they'll ever get from me will be buisiness involving royally screwing over their buisiness model, because they are nothing better than an outright scam selling parts that in a lot of cases dont even fit the device they are marketed for. (and WAY overcharging for those parts as well, lets just say i had to hint at legal actions to get myself a refund that was above and beyond any company policy ever mentioned, because they were not quite prepared to help me otherwise...)

---

some things i've learned to keep in mind:

- yanec is overpriced garbage

- replacedirect is basicly a scam company, this doesnt apply to you, just warning people that may roll into this topic in the future. they have no idea about the products they are selling, and falsively use quality labels (their "best webstore 2013-2016" image links to a page that says they have been verified to be a propper company since 2015, i seem to be missing 2 years somewhere...)

- 11.1 volt battery packs dont exist in the replacement world.

- buying twice on ebay is cheaper and easier than buying once on a "legitimate" website and ending with the same product as the chinese garbage.

i should probably also note that 2 hours of battery life is still pretty acceptable for an older laptop, depending on what was done during those two hours.

I appreciate the quick response and the valuable information.

I just did a quick eBay search, and it would be great if I could get your opinion on what I found.

Do any of those, or anything similar that you might be able to find, look reliable to you?

that first one is not a 11.1 volt 5200mah battery, i can say that much already. it's most likely a 10.8 volt 4800mah battery (which is MUCH cheaper, but wont change it enough for the user to notice) then again, it's $11 :P

the second one is a dud, title claims 4400mAh, description claims 5200mAh.

Nice catch on the second one, but do you think the first one would improve the life of the battery of the charger?

Thanks, I'll get a hold of him if you can't solve my problems, but you're doing a grand job thus far.

Haha...

I went to his profile when you mentioned him that and saw that.  Needless to say, I think he will tell me what I need to know.
