can it yes, will it probably not, you can get stuck in a bootloop and some tweaks you can download can also cause that,

 

so just read about the tweaks before you download then and you're good, and the jailbreak depends on the IOS not the phone

I wouldn't. Voids warranty and you can brick it and they don't cover it plus you can get viruses and malware once you do it. You also can't go back

Yeah old phones that are not worth anything are good to jailbreak. You can get cydia and you can just get whatever. Some actually helpful apps that Apple should add

well if your asking mod as in get free in app purchases well no.

 

you can get free IAP (in app purchases) but not on server based games, if the server is what controls stuff being bought then it just wont work. you can get fakeGPS tho so you dont have to leave your house, youll just end up getting banned

 

so games that are offline games you can get free IAP with the right tweak downloaded

Yes you can mod pokemon, but not to get free lures, but you can location spoof, walk around using a joystick or tapping the screen, and it'll show nearby pokemon and auto walk to where they spawn. 

But as for jailbreaking in general it's very safe AS LONG AS you do it properly, I've been jailbreaking ever since my iPod Touch 2nd gen and never had a problem I couldn't quickly fix. Find a good youtuber and follow their instructions when you jailbreak, also if you updated to 9.3.4 you will need to revert back to 9.3.3 (That's the latest jailbreak) and there is no recent jailbreak for 32bit devices, aka your iPhone 4, so depending on what update it's on you may not be able to jailbreak.

The last update for the iPhone 4 was before 8.0, so it's probably ios 7.1.2, which I think was jailbroken, so you should be fine. 
If you do jailbreak, and want to make your iPhone 4 seem faster, download NoSlowAnimations (If it's supported in iOS7)

No you are changing the boot loader even if you restore it doesn't undo the jail break. It puts all your files back but cydia will still be there

If you restore your device through iTunes it gets rid of Cydia, the warranty is then valid again. I've done it many times :o

well yeah newer apps in the appstore will require a certion firmweak, its another way apple makes it so you have to buy new phones.

 

they make it so older phones cant be updated to the newest IOS so if you have a super old phone you have to get a newer one,

 

i guess ios 7 is missing stuff pokemon go needs to run xD 

 

but yeah you can still download apps just not every single one
