Hello LTT, can anyone recommend a free/inexpensive video editing software, something that is easy for a beginner to use.  Just looking to edit some gameplay videos to post to youtube. Thanks for your suggestions.

hitfilm light is probably the best free option.

I don't think its for a beginner tho,is this the version your talking about or is it another one?

Yep. You better off starting with something more powerful and growing into it rather than being limited by someting like movie maker.

Hitfilm 4 easily is the best. It's like free Premier CS6.

While i used movie maker while its not bad for me Sony Vegas Pro 13 is MUCH more better and has much more options,they should rename it to "Home Windows Movie Maker",well its up to the OP,does he wan't to start light or heavy,but its better to start of heavy since you will get used to it much faster

Thanks for the fast and informative responses, I don't mind something heavy as long as its not to intimidating for a beginner to learn how to use and can grow into.  I think you guys have given me enough options already to pick from.  But i am still interested in your opinions on some of them that you have experience with.
