Ok! Good luck :)

Be aware, though, that your 1070's performance will be VERY limited because of your CPU, so if it seems to be underperforming, don't worry about it.

I REALLY wanted to buy a new graphics card and after watching pretty much every single review and benchmark on YT I decided to buy a 1060... turns out there aren't any 1060's in my country only Zotac 1070's, the 1060's are coming until September 20-ish (and they're going to be Zotac's amp edition)...I got tired of waiting and bought a 1070 for $550, problem is; my monitor is 1920x1080, my processor is a Kaveri A10-7700K (so obviously is going to bottleneck), and my case is a cougar solution2, so I'm not even sure the GPU is going to fit... I HOWEVER have 24 hours to return the card BUT they won't give the money back, I can just change it and for something the same price as the GPU or get a credit for $550 to spend in the store...  they don't even have RX 480 and the only 470 nitro they have is $350... so, how  bad I did?

Well that CPU is definitely a bottleneck. Maybe what you can do is this:

1. Return the GPU for store credit.

2. With credit, buy an i5 6400 and cheap LGA1151 H110 motherboard.

3. Buy a GTX 960 or 970.

You'll have to check and make sure the prices all work out, but I think that's the best option.

the store doesn't  have 970 or 960 just 950 and 750ti each for less than $200  and the i5 cost $220

He said they don't have the 480, and 470 is way overpriced too :/ quite the conundrum

Do you have a GPU now or are you just using the APU?

Depending on the games you play, the 950 would work at 1080p. It's not a bad option, and you can get a 1060 or something later. You'll see a HUGE performance increase from the CPU alone though. You'll have to get a new motherboard too though, not sure how prices work out...

If you have the money, you could of course keep the 1070 and upgrade the rest. But I think you'd need at least an overclocked 6600k to not bottleneck it for most games @ 1080p, so that'll be pricey.

P.S. Anyone out there, don't you DARE start the bottlenecking argument. There's a thread for that already in the CPU/Mobo section.

Honestly just run the 1070 as long as it fits in the case you can always just run it with the side panel off if it won't go back on with it until you get the rest of the system upgraded.

I'm using a r9 380 dual x 2gb and I play mostly play things like fallout 4, mirrors edge catalyst, dark soul 3 (mostly AAA)

Upgrade your CPU and motherboard to an i5. You'll thank yourself.

I'm thinking on doing that but I'm worried it will damage my PC somehow... is it safe to run the computer with the side panel removed?

It's safe, you'll see some minor temperature fluctuations since the air movement isn't channeled through the case by your fans directly anymore but it's completely safe.

It's safe. PC hardware reviewers use open test benches, which are little more than fancy trays that the motherboard sits on top of.

Just keep in mind that the side panel helps to protect the components. Be careful not to accidentally spill/splash any fluids nearby, or touch any sensitive circuitry, especially while the system is powered on. The system is also more exposed to dust than it is in an enclosure. On the bright side, running the system with the side panel off might help cooling a bit, since the components have nearly unlimited access to cool air.

Edit: I say keep the card, and save up for a better PC to put it in. It's the best piece of hardware you've got. That's a low end CPU no matter what video card you have, but it still doesn't make the 1070 useless. How poor your framerate is will depend on the game—you may hit 60 FPS in some, maybe not in others. But at least you should be able to crank every setting to max without seeing your framerate drop further.

If it helps to know this, the Zotac GTX 1070 AMP Edition is 11.81 inches long by 5.83 inches wide.

Be aware, though, that your 1070's performance will be VERY limited because of your CPU, so if it seems to be underperforming, don't worry about it.
