Windows 10 Update Freezes

Go to solution Solved by GoodBytes,

The problem is probably coming from a peripheral, where you have a driver causing a system problem.

First let's go over the basics:

  • Make sure you have the latest motherboard chipset drivers
  • Make sure your BIOS/UEFI is fully updated

Unplug everything plugged on your USB ports (in and out) except mouse and keyboard. No wireless card, no USB headset, no printer, no lights, no webcam, no mic. Have nothing else, beside keyboard and mouse. If your system have USB 2.0 ports, make sure your keyboard and mouse are connected to them.

If your motherboard has a wireless card inside, also remove it.

Once done, restart your system, and see if your problem is solved.

im trying to update the the anniversary update then at 5% and 11% it just freezes on the blue installing screen, last try i did it. it bluescreen giving me a clock_watchdog_timeout and a QR code thing (wasnt able to scan since i do not have a qr reader on my phone).

I tried:

- unhooked all my monitors except 1

- updated my graphics card

- unhooked my Hue+

clock_watchdog_timeout i googled it and it claimed to be something up with my CPU , my CPU is fine when it games it never blue-screens. it isn't overclocked
