CK2 or EU4?

I didn't have any of the precursors but I'd like to get into one of the franchises but I don't know which one, from watching trailers they seem similar. EU4 has better playerreviews so I can't really decide. It would be nice if you could tell me your thoughts about that

EU4 is more focused towards wars and the development and growth of your empire, while CK2 is more of a character focused game but is similar in mechanics to EU4 in war. Both are really fun to play games it just depends which game type you want.

Hmm I like these developement kind of games so I'll go for EU4 then. Thank you

If it helps, I think EU4 has a demo on Steam. Might be worth a shot before you buy.

You made the right decision probably. EU4 is simply easier to swallow compared to CK2. If you like it, pick up CK2 next. Let us know how your first "Getting rolled due to not understanding every single mechanic" game goes

 

Eventually EU4 will be so easy you could "win" with practically any nation (there's no real winning, but at least become a super power), but I still remember my first games and how badly I did.
