GPU done for?

Tacitus

Was playing GTA V, it freezes, I shut down PC. Now when I reboot it, I can't get a display out of my GPU (using my mobo's HDMI port).

Device manager still detects an AMD 200 series GPU (290x), as does Trixx, GPU-Z and MSI Afterburner, but all have it running at 0 mhz.

My PC wasn't on for long, maybe 15 minutes, when it happened, and temps on both core and VRM were below 80.

I updated drivers earlier today to the second most recent AMD drivers, but not sure if rolling back can help?

Is there anything I can do?

Have you tried a clean driver install? If that dosent work, try it in another system and see if it has the same issues.

I eventually got into safe mode and uninstalled drivers. I didn't have a chance to install new drivers as it was getting late.

The card is alive!
