So today I went over my parts and the good interwebnet, while I plotted data into PcPartPicker, the link to which can be read here.

List for those who prefer in clean text (should be collapse- and expandable, to initially save space):

Spoiler

Intel Core i5-6400 LGA 1151 Skylake 2,7 GHz

MSI B150 PC Mate LGA 1151 ATX

Kingston HyperX Fury 2x8GB DDR4-2133

Corsair CX600M Semi-modular ATX PSU

-

Crucial BX200 240GB 2.5" SSD

Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM HDD

-

EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB SC Gaming ACX 3.0

-

Win 8 Pro

-

2x Corsair AF120 Red

2x Fractal Design 120mm Black/White

NZXT Sentry 3 Fan controller

Now, case and CPU cooling are not added because those are not 100% planned yet (currently using stock CPU cooler). I was wondering what you guys think of the parts combo, and what case you think would work nicely. I would like to see a spaceous case with good radiator support and mounting options for a reservoir. Windowed side panel is an obvious must these days (hah). Extra cookie if the case has a basement where the PSU and excess cables can be hidden out of sight below the edge of the window.

At the time of writing, I am a little divided between the Mastercase Pro 5 and the Fractal Design R5, both having their strengths and weaknesses.

not very familiar with either cases, but here are some other things i can think of:

1. ur i5 6400 is not overclockable, plus ur mobo does not support oc. So really no need for a radiator, unless you are water cooling ur GPU. It looks like you want to do a custom loop? if so, may as well get a k series cpu and z170 mobo.

2. 6400 may bottle neck 1070, check some benchmarks on youtube.

Why windows 8 and not 10?

Win 10 crippled my dad's, my uncle's and my grandfather's pcs, all purchased in different years. I don't trust it.

#2 first: The thought has struck me.

Now #1: My idea has for some time been to liquid cool the GPU before I consider doing the same to the CPU. And yes, I will be doing a custom loop, for the sake of aesthetics.

Also, I will get a new motherboard and likely K-series CPU later, which will be more dependent on non-stock cooling. But the three upgrades (graphics card, case, and mobo+CPU) have no definite ETA, and will be step by step in the stated order unless my mind is changed.
