Your build looks great! I recommend a mid tower if you have some extra space on your desk. Maybe a NZXT Source 210 or Corsair 200R?

The power supply is a great psu, Don't worry!

Different PSU. Don't put the B1 series anywhere near a 390. On that note, the 1060 and 480 are out. Those would be better choices.

His motherboard only has 2 ram slots. So single channel (1 stick) for better upgradability.

Wouldn't effect gaming that much, only work use scenarios.

change the 600B to something like an XFX TS 550w, Seasonic S12ii or rosewill capstone G650 instead. otherwise you're fine.

Sorry, I'm mildly new to computer parts. What is the B 1 series? 
I definitely do not want to spend $1000, but I'm willing to dip into $900.
I plan on getting a second 8gb stick of ram when my next paycheck comes in, btw.
