Need your thoughts.

Trying to hit the checkout button on this bunch of parts for my first undertaking of a new PC (Using the LTT Amazon affiliate code). Need some other pair of eyes on it for your thoughts/comments/input.

Criticisms:

 

-You've selected DDR3 RAM for a DDR4 motherboard. I suggest picking up a 16GB kit of G.Skill TridentZ 3000MHz RAM.

-The power supply is excessive, even for a SLI build. Go for 550W for one GTX 1080 and 650-750W for two. I suggest something from the EVGA SuperNOVA G2 series.

-The cooler won't fit in that case. I suggest getting a different case and change that cooler to the Cryorig H7.

-The BX200 is fairly slow. I suggest getting a better SSD such as the ADATA SP550 if you're on a budget or the Samsung 850 EVO if you can afford to pay more.

you might want to invest in better air cooler or even aio water coolers, if you are planning to get higher oc's. Also you need ddr4 ram, insted of ddr3 what you have listed here.

Thanks for the input. It was a huge oversight to have chosen DDR3 insted of DDR4. i appreciate that catch.

I switched it to:  G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin  

                         DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Intel Z170 
                         Platform / Intel X99 Platform Desktop Memory
                         Model F4-2400C15D-16GVR.

 

Thanks for letting me know that that fan would not fit. That being said i decided to reallocate the money that I would save by downgrading on the overkill PSU to cooling.  What are your thoughts of keeping the case but changing to liquid cooling?

That case only has 120mm radiator slot, so i would change to one that has atleast 240mm slot.
