Enabling USB debugging with a smashed screen.

Hi Guys,

 

I need to access my Samsung S4 for getting data off and other stuff, but the screen is broken.If i can just enable USb debugging than i can use Vysor to display my phone on my PC. 

 

So the question is, how can i get my phone to display to my PC (Screen cap) without having to navigate any menus on my phone?

Do you have twrp installed? I think it's possible with that.

If not try looking for a guide to install twrp, I think you can do it trough odin which doesn't require the screen to work.

 

Edit: Much easier solution:

otg cable and use keyboard and mouse ;)

PS: if I just connect my galaxy S4 with my pc with an usb cable I can acces all the files on my PC.

The screen displays no image but the touch still works as i can unlock the screen (it has a "plinky plonky" sound). its set to some sort of MP3 mode so i can only access the media folder.

I'd say call up a friend that has the S4 and kinda clone what you do.

Athlon X2 for only 27.31$   Best part lists at different price points   Windows 1.01 running natively on an Eee PC

Do you think what I think? Buy an hdmi adapter, connect to a monitor and choose how you want to back up your phone ;)

I have no idea why Google put some of those words in bold, he's a good friend but does weird stuff from time to time.

NIce but i would rather not spend anything, but nice idea, but no cigar.

Don't you have a landline?

Dammit Android why u always have to be annoying, like seriously connecting a mouse/keyboard is plug and play but an hmdi cable isn't?

I can make a video for you showing where to press to enable usb debugging so you can try to do it without screen, but that requires you to go into settings, which is a pain in the arse since you probably don't know where it is in your app drawer.

Yep, but i can pull down the notification bar and i think a settings cog is in the top right hand corner
