So I'm going to drop a 500gb ssd into my PC and load a fresh copy of Win10. When i'm done I will have a 250gb ssd drive left that is still very usable and will end up sitting collecting dust cause it's not really big enough to be storage.

Anyone have any unique ideas, what i could do with it? I've already got 64gb of RAM and SSDs don't Read/Write fast enough to be used as RAM. So what should i use the drive for?

lol sorry i tend to hold onto my computer components.

other than gaming drives, anyone ever use SSDs for anything other storage?

Some of the more important computers in my hospital use SSD's for storage since patient files filled with radiographs and surgical videos can take a while to load from an HDD.

If you have a ps4 you can upgrade that.

I did that with all my PS3 over the years. Buy the smallest hdd PS3 and then go buy a 1tb drive. However i only use those for network media servers anymore ane never saw the point of a PS4. But good idea.

If you'd like to jump into Linux or another Windows OS, you could set a dual boot. I'd recommend Mint as it's friendly to beginners.

Other idea would be a network drive for sharing.

Yeah, i'm not into dual booting anymore. I did that years ago when playing with redhat. Thanks though :)
