Need slight help please

HI,
i need some help here.. its not urgent but its pretty important too... i have a pretty old desktop and i seem to have this certain problem with it.. It would freeze at time and i cant seem to do anything with it. but then i force restart it.. it would keep trying to restart but fail and the process repeats for a few times and then it restarts back.. Any idea what's happening?? Its happening more and more frequently tho

Put your RAM into the other set of slots

Detach your boot drive and try booting

If it boots without fail with the boot drive detached, it was a bad drive

Of course without a drive with Windows installed, upon booting your mobo will say no boot drive detected
