Hey guys! posting after a long time!i was just wondering how should i build pc's ith the amd 8320 and the 8350.(both). as i don't know what all supports it,i need your help! these both builds will be imaginary and not real. for both the builds, there is no budget. you take it as far as possible. but the minimum is 1200$.(for each).i guess some people have these in the forums. like i know,@m-ursu has an 8350.(i'm pretty much guessing in this tho).

so please help me in this build!

Note: i want to build a computer from both 8320 and the 8350. and i would like a good cooler as i will overclock both of them.(of course this is imaginary as you read it above!).

Thanks.

Asus Crosshair V Formula Z motherboard is a no-brainer for me. Grab any DDR3 RAM, it's all good. If there's no budget, get an AMD R9 290X GPU (or two) when they're released in around November. Get a Swiftech H220 or a Corsair H100i CPU cooler for some sexy OC on that 8350. Samsung SSD and whatever HDD.

That's what I'd get.

Is the 8350 worth it over the 8320 honestly i'm not sure, the price difference is what $20?

Is it worth $20 to have a constant 4.0GHZ clock? or are you comfortable with overclocking?

From what i heard the 8350 overclocks a tiny bit higher but who knows.

My sig has my rig, lol and honestly purchasing a R9 280x or R9 290x (290x dependent on benchs and price of course)

is the way to go. My cooler is amazing, my ram runs solid, although rip jaws are a good option as well.

Having a good ssd is a solid way to make your rig fly, the one i have in my sig is very good. You don't need

1000 watts like i have but go for a platinum rated power supply, they are worth it for solid clean power, i've had

gold rated you can tell the difference in heavy loads. Seasonic is a great company for power supplies, but ask

around there are other good company's as well.

Note go for a case that has lots of room, don't go crazy with expense on a case, its not really worth it

and the crosshair v formula "Z" edition you have to get all the drivers from the ROG site, the asus site

for drivers is broken.

The price difference is more like $40-50.

The 8320 is just a lower binned 8350 that is less likely to oc as far. Not worth the extra money unless you really need the extra ghz.

Whether it's worth it or not depends on the use case--usually, it's not.

Wait for benchmarks before deciding.

Platinum psus are not worth it 99% of the time.

You should be getting drivers off the site regardless of whether they provide them or not.

I have the 8350 i've done benchmarks, i'm asking op that question, is it worth it for op?

And platinum psu's are very worth it depending on where you live, some areas every bit of power wasted can cost tons of

money in electric bills.

The rog site is from asus, so it is the asus site, just the normal consumer site has issues.

The money you spend between a bronze to platinum psu is usually quite a bit more than the money you save even if you were to fold 24/7.

To be honest, i live in an area where power/price isn't a huge deal, i purchased mine because i felt the

gold power supply i used before wasn't stable enough, it was a 750 watt psu and i was running a phenom

II X2 unlocked to a B50 X4.

Since i've upgraded to the platinum Seasonic i feel as though my system is much, much more stable. Note i have

multiple hard drives, a disk drive, an ssd, an overclocked cpu and gpu. Now that might not be a whole lot of hardware

but keeping stable electricity going to everything, in my opinion is helped by having a decent power supply.

It's most likely the placebo effect.

You know that is exactly what they said about crossfire micro stutter right?

Except the micro stutter can be tested with blind tests and the power supply doesn't affect performance if the system is getting enough power..

The thing is, back when micro stutter wasn't a testable issue, people were told they were crazy and that they should stop

complaining.

If the power supply cant supply enough power because its bronze and only effective to 80% load, then it wouldn't be recieving

enough power, so you would notice a performance lack. I can compare this to back in the days of Pentium 3 motherboards, some

had horrible capacitors, they were not quality and thus leaked. It caused havoc on machines, causing blue screens, incredible slow

downs and sometimes completely locking up.

There isn't enough evidence to say that a lesser quality power supply does not effect performance.

Why would it affect performance? It doesn't affect how a system operates as long as it works. Is a bronze psu incapable of supplying enough power? No. There are bronze psus that can and cannot supply enough power. As long as you have enough power, the psu does not affect performance.

Sure, "if the power supply can't supply enough power", it would affect performance, but the same applies to a platinum or other rated psu.
