Help! DVI cable question.

positivePXL

Just finished my computer build, but only now is it that I have hit my first bump in the road.

So, my computer, right now at least, only has HDMI and DVI-D Dual link video outs. Now, the only spare computer monitors around right now (didn't have enough money to get a new monitor) are a television which will need to be returned to it's original purpose when I'm done with it anyways, and an office monitor that has DVA and most importantly, DVI-D dual link inputs. The only problem I am finding, is that I don't have any DVI-D dual link cables. I actually have 2 DVI-D single link cables.

My question is whether or not I can use my DVI-D single link cable, albeit at a lower capacity than dual link, to carry the video signal?

You can, believe single link is maxed at 1920x1200 at 60hz

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.
