Asus x99-DELUXE II & Xeon E5-2620 v4

Go to solution Solved by YubinTheBunny,

The E5-2620 v4 and the 6800k are priced similarly where I live. So personally I would choose the 6800k in this situation because your using this machine for dual applications you need the single thread performance in games while having the multi-threaded performance for programs that would take advantage of that.

Just a quick question:

Is the Asus x99-DELUXE II a good motherboard for the Xeon E5-2620 v4 or are there other (doesn't have to be better) options?

The PC will be used for gaming, video/photo editing and other applications.

Thanks in advance.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600, MB: Asus Crosshair VI Hero, RAM: Kingston 2×8GB, GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 8GB, Storage: Samsung PM981 1TB

You said gaming first so is gaming your main priority?

Is video/photo editing more of a hobby or are you pretty damn serious about it?

in that case i'd rather get a 5820k or 6700k. The Xeon is clocked pretty low which makes it bad for gaming.

I have the 6800K and it compares well with 6700K in Gaming and wins in work-related stuff.
