I'm sorry for not clarifying, the fans, the leds on the mother board all turn on, but for about half a second and then go dark

Thank you for more details! I think you should check to make sure the motherboard PSU cables is plugged all the way in, both sides. I built a computer yesterday and got the same symptom like you, after checking the cables, it worked just fine.

I am very new to the the computer building community, and unfortunately inexperienced at identifying my problems, I am using A GA-H170N-Wifi (micro Atx), Cooler master tower, EvGa supernova nex750b power supply, An Intel 6700k proccesor, Asus R7 370, Ballistix sport DDr4 2x4gb kit and a sentey stealth pro case

Okay then try to reseat your RAM. Make sure that you seated your RAM in this order: 1st and 3rd slots or 2nd and 4 slots. If you have passed the POST, were you able to enter the BIOS?

Motherboard only has two slots, I have tried another kit, and when I booted it up it skipped bios and asked for a system boot drive

Well, then your computer is actually running fine since actually POST? I mean after that first POST, your computer simply doesn't boot up again?

The computer POST once using the memory that I had borrowed from a friend, but then after turning it off and switching it back on it stopped working .

Also looking more into it, the supported memory says it is able to use 2,400mhz but it states it must be downgraded to 2,133 MHz . So knowing that, how do I downgrade to the memory speed that is required?
