Hello, I am building a new PC and my final part is the GPU. I have it down to a 27db max and I was wondering if there are any good video cards that make such low noise. I am gaming at 1080p and would like ultra settings. Right now I am looking at the EVGA 1070 FTW but I was wondering if anyone knows of anything quieter.

Thank you!

Also, please be courteous to all and don't start any AMD/NVIDIA bs as I don't care about the brand, just silence and performance.

Almost all after market cards have a silent mode. Where the fan doesn't spin at all. Just pick the one the best fits your build and make sure  it has the 0 rpm mode.

I'm looking to do gaming though and I'm guessing it would throttle in silent-mode

That 0RPM mode will only work up to a certain temperature. Once that temperature is reached, the fans will come on. Since the GTX 1070 is a pretty powerful card, you may want to look into using a utility to limit frames in games if you don't have G-sync or a high refresh rate monitor. I've used Nvidia Profile Inspector for this, but I believe it's in Geforce Experience as well. If you limit your frame limit, that should also help keep the card from reaching full load/getting hot enough to spin the fans at a high RPM.

CPU: i7 4770K  |  Corsair H80i  |  ASUS Z87-Pro  |  8GB Corsair 1866Mhz  |  GPU: MSI Gaming X RX 480 8GB  |  Corsair HX  750

One thing you can do to limit noise is get a case designed to be quiet. That way, even if the fans turn on, you won't hear them or it will be almost silent.

CPU: i7 6700k (4.7 GHz) | GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 FTW (OC) | Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth Z170 S | Cooling: Corsair H110i GTX | Storage: 250GB Samsung 850 EVO M.2 + 1TB WD Black | RAM: 16GB (2x8) Corsair Vengeance LED (White) 3000MHz | Case: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX | PSU: Corsair RM850i | WiFi Card: TPLink Archer T9E | Case Fans: Noctua iPPC-2000 PWM (3x 120mm in), 2x Noctua NF-A14 PWM 140mm (radiator, painted black), Fractal Venturi HP-14 (1x 140mm out)  | OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
