AAAAnd, here it comes!

...but seriously OP, depending on the titles you play and the framerates you're aiming for, you should be perfectly alright. Only expect bottlenecks if you're trying to run silly framerates (120/144 etc, again, depending on the title).

I say that the latest i5 wont bottleneck it by as much os older CPUs. But I noticed it too, way too many topics saying their i5 hold 1070 back and they dont get 100+ fps...

I think @Slick  should make benchmarks comparing i5-4690K vs i5-6600K vs i7-6700K with GTX 1070 to clarify.

You can do way better than high on all those titles on a 1070. CPU bottlenecking is more so tied to framerate. So if you're aiming for a reasonable ~60fps, you're good, in any resolution. And you're on a 6600K. Assuming you're running a CPU that does the job, it's always better to buy the best GPU you can at the time. if the 1070 is in your budget, go for the 1070.

Short answer:  It will in certain games in certain resolutions at high frame rates.

Long answer https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/634330-would-an-i5-4670k-bottleneck-a-1070/?page=1

Takeaway, it's better to have a 6700k with a 1070, but a 6600k with a 1070 will still be faster than a 6600k with a 1060.
