Hi,

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/qznNqk
I recently built my new system as above^ (peripherals are not new). I play simple games like minecraft, league of legends and overwatch... occasionally other random games. When i'm in the league of legends loading screen my loading time is just slightly faster than someone with a regular ssd (about 6 seconds). I also knew someone who built a very expensive pc with two samsung 850's in RAID 0 (which is still a lower read speed than what I now have) and his loading time was less than 1 second!!!!...while streaming on twitch!!!! He had a very expensive pc of course :p.

This question is purely out of interest and curiosity. I won't upgrade anything but I'd like to learn and hear what others have to say :)

What affects loading times and how could I increase my speeds?

I was thinking it might now be up to my cpu to load it faster, or maybe I don't understand how an ssd works. My read speeds are 2200 and his two 850 evo's combined are just over 1000 (sorry I cant remember the units)

As I said I won't be upgrading anything and I know my speeds are very fast. I'm just curious as to see what others have to say around this topic! :)

Thanks for reading.

minecraft = cpu speed

league = ssd

overwatch = idk, never played it.

138 is a good number.

If you're loading into a multiplayer game it could be a combination of read speed, CPU speed and internet speed.

So technically if i were to upgrade to something like a i7 6900k I would load faster?

Depends on if it's thread optimized. 6900k core speed is not as good as 6600k, especially OC, so if the application is not optimized for multiple threads, you might actually see worse performance. Plus it's just stupidly expensive xD lol.

CPU: i7 6700k (4.7 GHz) | GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 FTW (OC) | Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth Z170 S | Cooling: Corsair H110i GTX | Storage: 250GB Samsung 850 EVO M.2 + 1TB WD Black | RAM: 16GB (2x8) Corsair Vengeance LED (White) 3000MHz | Case: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX | PSU: Corsair RM850i | WiFi Card: TPLink Archer T9E | Case Fans: Noctua iPPC-2000 PWM (3x 120mm in), 2x Noctua NF-A14 PWM 140mm (radiator, painted black), Fractal Venturi HP-14 (1x 140mm out)  | OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
