PLEX on a Thecus N5550

Anyone have a Thecus N5550 5bay NAS able to get PLEX running properly on it?

As soon as I install the plugin it pins the CPU usage at 100% and doesn't ever come back down (I let it go for a week). Also the media scanner doesn't pull any metadata.

I've kinda given up and just run the server on my main PC, but it'd be nice to be able to shut it down without affecting the Plex server.
