probs no need to go the 6600k unless you're going to OC and if you're going to do a serious OC I'd love to a closed loop water cooler (probs adds about 50-60$ to ya build tho)

wow last time i checked aud and cad were pretty much the same its 200 bucks in canada

 

Msi z170 pc mate is also a good choice

MSY is the bomb ( pay cash tho to avoid their cc surcharges) closed loop water coolers are numerous in number any 1150 socket will fit your skylake's 1151 .

 

but on the matter of OCing if you're not going to downgrade to a h170 and spend more on your ram as it'll help more with the video editing (especially if you're doing stuff in larger than HD resolutions)

 

also so for rendering you may want to consider an i7 as it would cut down times.
