1/4" refers to the thread size,it doesnt refer to tube dimension.

As long as the thread is 1/4" on the fitting and the the tube matches the fitting size (for compressions) then you are golden.

You only need to match the ID of the tube for barbed fittings

So 1/4 ID?

No.

Example 16OD/10IDmm tube requires a 1/4" thread fitting with a 16/10 compression size OR a 1/4" thread 10mm barb.

The bit that screws into the block is BSPP 1/4",the rest of the sizing depends on the tube.

3/8" was once popular,1/4" is now the standard thread size for all WC gear, only some Eheim pumps and the PA series rads from thermochill still use odd sizing fittings now

1/4" is the standard sized thread for all common fittings and water-cooling components. Most fittings have G1/4 threads. You can choose any tubing size you want to go with when you pick the fitting.

I would recommend;

3/8 ID 1/2 OD

or

3/8 ID 5/8 OD

as they are the most popular sizes and have the most fittings.

Feel free to PM for any water-cooling questions. Check out my profile for more ways to contact me.

The top fitting requires 10m ID tube

Second is 7mm ID tube.

Third is 13mm ID tube.

  • You forgot to include tubing
  • You are using a cheap pump. I would opt for a Laing pump if I were you.
  • You are using a pump+res combo with an EK pump inside, so you are effective adding 2 pumps to the loop.

Make sure the Xbox 360 has a 12V power rail and can take the additional load of the pump and fans on the PSU. Otherwise the PSU will fail.

Ill be using an external power source, so thats not a problem. Ill be using that primo-chill tubing, and the combo does not include a pump.

Also, I would have to use barb fittings if I were to get a better pump

you won't need to have barb fittings, as long as the thread size (1/4 prefferably) and the compression dimensions (usually found in description with what tube it's compatible with) then it will be fine

You can buy a pump top for the Laing pumps, which have a G1/4 thread just like all your other components will.
