Alright y'all,

Been running this 8gb of DDR4 3200mhz 2X4gb RAM sticks, placed in the corresponding sockets for dual channel, for quite some time now.

Today I'm getting the exact same RAM kit then described higher, just to make sure I don't run into any issues.

Basically the question is, anything I should know before adding the RAM? I'll probably need to remove the heat-sink and all, but that's no trouble. Like, am I gonna lose anything? Is the new RAM going to trigger a formatting of all the RAM?

Thx boiz!

RAM doesn't have a "format," that's just a hard disk/SSD thing. Just plug it in and it should work fine.

I'd be surprised if you needed to remove the heatsinks. That would indicate the manufacturer designed them very poorly if they don't fit in adjacent slots together.

I think he meant his CPU heat-sink due to possible overhang, not the rams ;)
