New Desk

I'm not sure where to post this, so I hope its okay here. 

 

I'm looking to change my desk and everything to fit a three monitor setup. I've been reading about ikea modular desks and I'm looking to get 2 straight desks and put them in an L shape. However I've read that the ikea Linnmon desks won't work with a monitor clamp, I've seen people suggest putting a bit of wood on the top to even out the weight. Not sure if this would work though?

 

I've also read the Bekant desk would be stronger for this, but will the metal bar get in the way of the clamp? 

 

Any suggestions/info would be amazing! Thanks
