So what I can see on TV, is a bunch of people yelling who they want to be the presidential candidate. 

 

Can someone please explain what is happening?  I'm Canadian and I really do not understand your guys electoral system lmao.

 

Also, I heard something about people from DC wanting to be the 51st state of America?  1. I thought they were already a state?  and 2. Isn't there already 51 states in the US?

And why does Guam get a vote?  They aren't even a state.  Maybe I can understand Puerto Rico but still.
