Potential 1060 bottleneck?

Hi

 

I am thinking about buying these 2 components 

i5 6500

(Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 G1 Gaming 6GB)   Will this bottleneck my computer for 1080p gaming or is the CPU and or Graphics card overkill? Or should i go with a 6500 GTX 960 combo?

No, it won't bottleneck.

EDIT: And NO you should NOT buy the 960. At the moment it represents one of the worst values when you can get a 380/380x for the same price and get much better performance in dx11 and especially dx12.

The i5 is a very powerful CPU, so it should not bottleneck unless the game you're playing is more CPU than GPU intensive.

No it will not bottleneck. And DON'T get the 960 get the 1060.

I would recommend a different motherboard. Since you do not have a K cpu, a z series motherboard is unnecessary. I would look for a non-z option with built in wifi so you don't have to run a PCIe wifi adapter. You can also save a couple bucks by not getting the cooler since you wont be overclocking the CPU. That being said, still a good looking build.
