Importing folders via SSH?

How would i move one folder from my desktop into a folder on my iPad via SSH? 

I've been searching everywhere to find a command for this but to no prevail.

I dont belive that SSH is the type of data transfer you want, as it is based more around text on a live basis and the Ipad is not very friendly with things such as SSH, most likely using a file transfer software such as Dropbox is what you're after!

I need to access system files, dropbox doesn't help in my case.
