Hello my fellow members of the LTT forum i am ordering my pc parts in like a week and I am wanting to make it a sick after effects machine originally i figured my cpu and my ram would be the main components so i was looking at getting a 6700k with 16gb of corsair vengence and like a gtx 1060 but i have been doing research into gpu acceleration and was wondering would it be worth getting a lower qaulity cpu and get a better gpu or stay the same? keep in mind it is not for gaming :)))))

Just because you invested in a good GPU does not mean you can skimp out on a good CPU for video editing.

No.  Get at least a quad core CPU, i5 or better an i7.

Neither.

Save a bit more money and get yourself i7 6700k + GTX 1070 combo.
