I own a acer aspire M5-583P-6432 and something is wrong with it. I used it for about a year and it worked great until one day I shut it down and turned it back on the next day, and the acer loading screen popped up and after that the screen went blank. I solved this issue by letting it sit for awhile and it would work perfectly. But now it doesn't work at all, it has the same issue and after letting it sit for hours and it still doesn't do a thing. I had my dad look at it and he successfully upgraded to windows 10 and deleted all my data, and it worked for awhile then I restarted it and it has the same issue again. Anyone know any fixes? We think the issue has something to do with the video card. Thanks!!!

Alright, get to your bios menu and show me your boot list. If you don't know how to do this it is laptop specific so Google is your friend.

Ok... Well last night before I saw your message I hooked it up to my t.v via HDMI and it worked somehow. It was really weird because my dad hooked it up to his monitor a long time ago and that didn't work... So problem solved? I'm going to try the bios thing too though, just in case.

No don't worry about the bios. Does the Asus logo still come up when it is connected to the tv? Also, was the old monitor vga?

Ok update, I turned on the laptop and it had the acer logo and it didn't show up on the t.v or screen, so I closed the screen and opened it back up, which had the same results. So I mashed the enter key and it showed up on the t.v and screen for some reason. I don't know why... Maybe I was in the bios screen but it didn't show up. I also was playing a couple of games and the graphics card stopped working. So I am really confused. PLEASE HELP

Could be a drivers issue.

Go to Device Manager and update your drivers. What graphics chip are you using?

If its integrated here are instructions: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/instantanswers/ad5a063e-5f57-c715-2566-b983195752c1/update-drivers-in-windows-10.

If its nvidia or amd go to there websites to get drivers.
