Blue Snowball Setup Help

So I bought the Blue Snowball (not ice) about 2 years ago. I've been using it for voice calls and for videos. I can never figure out how other youtubers manage to make it sound absolutely perfect, without any editing. Also, I have to be practically licking the mic for it to be a moderate volume.

 

Any setup advice?

Pretty much any review of the blue snowball.

If its Youtubers, I would't be surprised if they're using Audacity to filter out background noise and static.

So I'm using discord most of hte time, is there a way to reduce background noise with an application then have it sent to discord?

 

like mic->audacity->discord?

Try using the "Noise Suppression" feature. It might make the microphone sound a bit muffled but I'd rather my microphone sound muffled than 75% static.

I have both echo cancellation and noise suppression on. My computer is in my living room so... cant really help the noise. Maybe im just an isolated situation.
