New headphones

I'm going to by some new headphones and was wondering whether to get the AKG K702s or the Audio-Technica ATH-M50s the M50s are more recommended by Reddit and Amazon reviews but I've also heard good things about the K702s and I love open back. So what should I get? I plan to use them mainly for music production and gaming. But I'm not really an audiophile.

A budget would be great.

Or you're dead set on only either of those 2?

Ideally I wouldn't really want to go above £150

k702, m50 is overhyped.

 

Try to find K7xx if you can though, the bass boost over K702 makes it a better headphone for most people

I honestly wouldn't go the M50 route, I bought them as my first "audiophile" headphones and only listened to them for about 2 weeks before I fell in love with my k7XX's. I'd go the K7XX from Massdrop if you want a bit more bass and less treble.. I haven't personally heard the k702's but I've seen reviews and talked to quite a few people who find them a little harsh in the highs.. that being said, most of us are coming from some sort of consumer based headphones that have over-emphasized bass
