Webcams!

Stoggy26

Webcams have seems to be long forgotten and havent progressed much anyone ever wonder why, the logitech C920 is one of the better webcams out there but its 4 years old theres not even really any USB 3.0 cams which could use the extra bandwidth. Just my thoughts and kinda got me thinking

Really, Web Cameras are mean't for things like Skype, and Zoom, and other video clients like that, the problem being, all of these things are limited by your internet speed, which is usually no more than 100Mb Upload, so making a Camera that can actually push out above 480Mb is almost silly.

Why would a Webcam ever need USB 3.0 bandwidth?   A 4K video needs around 20 Mb of bandwidth, which would be 2 MB/s  Even the crappiest of the USB 2.0 ports can manage that much.

Mystery is the source of all true science.
