Hello about 3 months ago my iPhone broke after the charger blew while I was charging it, the charger plug and the end tip (USB) in the plug turned black, don't know if that helps at all.

I have decided I want to try and fix the phone I have got a brand new working lighting cable and a plug that definitely works. This is what I've been told to check in posts like this.

It's not a software crash, it's not a dodgy or broken cable, it's not a bad power source and as for inspecting the charging port, there are no bits inside it. Also, this iPhone had a battery replacement about 3 weeks before the charge broke it whether this is related to the problem I'm having now I don't know. That's about all I can tell you. I don't think it could be the battery, could it? But if anyone can tell me what it could be that would be very helpful, thanks!

What charger were you using before? The one that blew up. If it's a cheap aftermarket one... could be bad.

As far as I can remember the cable was a £1 cable so cheap but as for the plug i believe it was a official apple one, i don't see how the cable could causes this or do a lot of damage can it?
