from experience, the i5 4460 isnt all too amazing at streaming, if OP doesnt play any vram heavy games, it may be better to instead go for the 4GB version of the RX480 (i agree with the RX480 itself) and give the processor a bump.

also, is there a reason you specificly went for the define R4 over the R5 or any other alternatives?

Honestly - I like the R4 more but it's up to the OP. Let me see what I can change. My main goal was Free-sync since that's cheap

for a streaming rig freesync is a waste, for the most optimal viewer experience and most hassle-free setup (which are IMO both priorities when streaming) you'll have to preferably lock your framerate to a multiple of 30 (or 60) either way.

It still reduces input latency which is a BIG factor for CS:GO. I've been playing on a crappy old screen and with low frame rates (80) for the past week and compared to my other screen and 300fps it's a BIG difference.

i like that one, also good thinking on the define S, i dont really know how much better the 6600k will do, but userbenchmark at least gives it that edge i'd prefer over a 4460.

If you OC the 6600K a bit you will see a noticeable improvement. That being said, I will try to squeeze in a i7 4790 or Xeon E3 1231v3. Give me a min

that's most likely gonna be a winner for the 6600K if i have to base myself off userbenchmark.

Depends. 4 threads or less - 6660K
6-8 threads - Xeon wins handily.

actually, according to userbenchmark the xeon only ahs a 14% edge on the 6600k at stock, meaning if you manage to bump your i5 to 4GHz (which it should dang well be capable of if you dont have the worst loss of the silicon lotery ever) it's a winner overall.
