Whenever I boot up my laptop, it takes approximately 5 minutes before I'm able to launch a program. It will take a minute and a half to boot to the desktop and then spend the next 3 and a half doing whatever System and compressed memory, and all the various Service Host processes are doing. It's getting really annoying because this is my main computer for school and I don't have time to wait for Windows taking it's jolly time. Any solutions? I've checked Start-up within task manager and there's barely anything enabled. Right now after 15 minutes and various Service Host processes are still pinning the Disk to 99%. This is a fresh install that has only been used for one semester so far, mainly working on Visual Studio.

your disk is probably youre problem as it us most likely spinning at 5400rpm this will greatly affect boot times and performance if you can reinstall windows obto a fresh 7200rpm laptop drive. Also if you dont need something on startup disable it in task manager it helped me alot.
