Hi all,

I've been trying to run docker on my unRAID server in an attempt to run a plex and Ubuntu off of it without having to run VMs, however whenever I enable docker in my unRAID settings menu, the log gives me the error "Not starting docker- Mount Error". I am wondering if this is my filesystem (xfs) as the tutorials I've seen all have their file systems set to btrfs.

Thanks in advanced.

you arnt using a amd cpu are you ? i had my plex server running freenas and it would puke out that error once it gave up, it ran fine for 2 weeks then plex Thur a hissy fit  . and so did i on freenas . only way i was able to fix that error was to reboot the system delete in my case plex from everywhere then reboot then reinstall but once i rebooted again it would refuse to run . and i would have to do the steps over again . im guessing its a custom nas or is it prebuilt ?

did you clean format them before you used them ? wipe the partition table off . such as a dod wiper tool . i was told that was my problem till i did it and had no luck . you have a server dump windows server on it or linux distro . i thought these micro os would be just simpler but they are more work in the long term.

EDIT it might be the file system like you thought reformat and switch to btrfs  use a new flashdrive if you sticking the OS on that if not same hdd then . if that doesnt work only plug in one drive and see it it works if not then its a hardware issue that unraid doesnt like which unraid ant going to work from my little info i know of it . you can try freenas or nas4free and see if either of them work .

also for running Ubuntu just run it not thur a VM . samba/cifs ant super hard once you work thur the useless guides and outdated info on every wiki . took me with one of my buddies help ssh thur to it 3 days to set it up fully, back to the old info alot of head banging at why doesnt it work  . i had no prior usage/knowledge   of linux till i made my centos7 server .
