XBox One wireless controller adapter

Persomatey

I'm a big fan on the XBox One controller and I'm thrilled that Windows 10 has compatibility built-in. However, I'm not a big fan of cables. I've looked up wireless adapters for it but I'm also not a big fan of plugging a USB dongle to my computer for it.

I was wondering if there is something that gives the same functionality of a USB dongle but maybe something that fits into a mobo expansion slot or something like PCI-E or M.2 or if I'm just being too picky?

Wasn't sure how to flair this post. Kinda "peripherals" but it's also kinda "motherboards" or something?

There are certain ... things (Cables, cards, etc.)... that will give you a normal USB port inside your case.  That's the best I think you can do

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

The regular Xbone controllers use a proprietary USB dongle so no, there is no other way. I would also suggest you wait for the new controller that will finally support a regular, widely used standard like it should've in the first place (unless you already have a regular Xbone controller).

I would also advice against relying too much on micro USB on a Xbone pad. The connector in those controllers is flimsy at best, sadly.

Most elegant solution is just to be the new Xbox One controller for the Bluetooth. If I didn't have an Elite controller that's what I'd do because I feel you on the USB dongle nonsense.
