Potentially dumb question

I have a CM HAF XB. I have the CM 200mm megaflow at the top. With that you have 155mm to play with for a CPU fan. I am running the stock intel fan right now.

Here is what I want to do. I want to replace the 30mm thick Cm megaflow 200mm top exhaust fan with an aerocool silentmaster 200mm x 20mm thick fan and put a noctua NH-D14 in there. I have tried to contact CM to ask this question but they never replied (over 10 days ago) so strike 1 for ever buying from them again. My question is do you guys think shaving that 10mm off the top exhaust fan will allow the noctua to fit in there. I am in a "well if I buy it and it wont fit that will suck" kinda mental loops right now keeping me from pulling the trigger.

CM quotes 180mm tall coolers can fit in the windowed version. NH-D14 is quoted at 160mm tall. So there'd probably be a ~5mm, maybe less, gap between the top of the cooler and the fan. If you reckon you've got 155mm to play with with the megaflow, that pretty much equated to what I said if you use a 20mm thick fan. Should fit, just.
