controller audio passthrough

On the ps4 (and now xbox 1 with the new controller) you can have ur

audio switched from your tv to ur headphones via the controller(headphones connected to controller)

 

Is it possible to do the same thing on a pc using one of those controllers? I would really love to know !!!

Can't do it with the Dualshock 4 yet, but you can with the Xbone pad. Audio quality isn't something to write home about, though.
