My school starts next month and i'm in need of laptop. I'm more of an desktop person and i dont really know much about laptops. I've done some researching and decided what i need :

Budget: 650EUR (~720USD)

CPU: i5 or something as powerful (the newer the better)

Memory: 6-8GB

Storage: I prefer SSD (fast boot speeds, fast data trasfer and i can buy bigger one if needed. 120GB isnt enough)

Screen: 15,6 inch 1920x1080

Weight/Size: As thin as possible , as light as possible

It would also be very usefull if could use it as streaming pc, to take some load of my gaming pc.

Here are some links to local stores where i'm gonna be buying it. So you could see the prices here. (its in finnish but its still easy to locate searchbar):

Streaming with anything less than an actual quad-core will be a challenge as ULV CPUs are limited to 15W and often can't even hold Turbo. If you want something for STUDYING and WORK only then get a 2nd hand ThinkPad T450S/T460S or X250/X260.

Believe me - buying a high-end Business notebook used is a LOT better than buying a cheap consumer one new. ThinkPads are universally praised for extreme durability so you have nothing to worry about and usually have SSDs in them.

Thanks for your aswer. The problem is that here is so little choise of 2nd hand products. I searched for those laptops on all main sites where people sell used stuff, no results... And I dont really want to buy used laptops from abroad.

T440S or X240? Those are Haswell but still solid.
