I got a P6T motherboard with a Corsair XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3-1600 Memory kit.

I want to upgrade my memory as my computer kind of struggle on modded minecraft. CPU usage is normal, but ram usage is over 90 %, so I figured that it would not be bad to upgrade or at least to add some memory.

Considering the price in Canada, two of the cheapest options to have a triple channel kit are

Corsair XMS3 DDR3-1333 3x4GB 12GB $69.99
Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600 3x4GB 12GB $73.70

Could there be any issue if I use two kit of different speed / memory size ? I guess that considering the speed, the vengeance would be a better choice.

If you use 2 different kits, make sure that each of the kits are fully on their own channel (same coloured slots). The speeds don't matter as much since the RAM will all just downclock to the lowest speed kit. And faster ram really makes no difference in gaming (unless you don't have discrete graphics)

When in doubt, re-format.

This is the max ram speed compatibility that your motherboard will take. I suggest just upgrading to a new rig because the motherboard you have currently is not much more head room than what you have currently.

Hope I helped the best way possible!

What ? the P6T can take 24 GB, So 6+12=18 so the two kit I checked are ok, I could even get two of them and change the one I have right now.

All the people on NCIX who commented on it had the same CPU or Mobo as me, and with the way NCIX work and the lower tax in BC than in QC, the Vengeance on NCIX is cheaper than the XMS3 on Amazon.
