I am having an issue with my system where under a good load it would crash almost seeming like a heat issue. I would game for a good little while half hour to an hour and then I am on the bios loading screen (no blue screen crash). if i make my system run prime95 and furmark it will crash in minutes but I can run one another at different times and it can go over night so I know my overclock is good. My system consists of an fx 6300 (oc to 4.1), gtx 970 ftw(no oc just rasied power limit to 110), cx600m, kingston ssd 120gb, wd blue 1tb, cheap light strips off ebay(never had a problem with them), 8gb of samsung oem ram from another computer at 1333mhz(motherboard limit)and Micro ATX Motherboard GA-78LMT-USB3. Im planing for a case, powersupply and motherboard swap in the coming months so I can run my old 650ti as pysx dedicated then after ill try and get another 970 ftw and sli both 970's but for now im wondering what i should change first to fix this issue?

Check temps for both cpu and gpu while under load. Best way to is get hwmonitor and msi kombustor. Just run the cpu burner and gpu stress and see the temps when it crashes.

I have aggressive fan curves so my cpu almost never hits 70c and my gpu hits around 78c but temp 3 (assuming its my north bridge) hits 85c

if no BSOD, the its either your PSU failing to provide power, or your CPU is overheating.

North bridge is in mobo, i think. What chipset do you have in your mobo?

Its not ment for oc, so thats your issue. Your vrm is most likely burning after you stress your cpu. And from your northbridge temps, i could guess that ambient temps are stupid hot.

so how long would my vrm's last staying at this light oc? my ambient temp is 42c on temp3 and 27c on cpu since I have my system on power save so my cpu clocks down to 1.35ghz

Your cpu is throttling to keep vrm cool, its not power save feature. No clue on how long will it last, but i cant asume its going to last that long if even throttling cant keep it cool. Amd cpu's run hot as hell and burn the mobo components(vrm cpu, cpu socket). Your best bet is gathering enough dough and get 1151 soccket mobo and get i3 or i5 6500 for it.

my cpu doesnt throttle confirmed by hwmonitor it holds the oc. I do some light photoshop so I need something with cores rather then a gaming 4 core. i have my system set to power save in the power options so it would clock down and if I set to performance it will go up to the oc.

Amd cpu's have really really slow cores compared to intel's. Also you might have turned off your throttle then. Anyway up to you, if you want to ruin your mobo with this oc, that doesnt even make any diffrence if you use ps.

motherboard getting replaced soon so ill make that first on my list i might back down the oc so it will last till then.

Not a single one. i5 is more than enough for ps. amd's 8xxx series runs really slow compared to them, extremely hot with default clocks and consumes quite a lot of power. With arund 100e more that you spend on 970/990 chipset mobo and 8xxx cpu, you can get z170 chip mobo with i5 6500/6600

what about if with the new mother board with proper over clocking specs I can over clock all the way up to 4.7 as if seen some people get with this particular cpu?

with 990 prob, aslong as you have proper cooling in your cpu and have good airflow in the case.

Dunno, my 8350 throttled even on default clocks and i have aio cooler on it. Its diffrent when you have top down cooler, since its what they recommend, becouse it gives the mobo some cooling aswell. Amd cpu's run really hot compared to intels

I may try that and see because it did help with temp3 temp when changing the cpu fan speed and may help with vrm cooling
