Overclocking 3770k

looking for some advice on how to overclock a 3770k as I have never done it before. Is adjusting the multiplier and the voltage enough for basic overclocking or is there more I need to do? I'm using a sabertooth z77 and have a custom water cooling loop with a 360 and 240 rad cooling both cpu and gpu so should have plenty of head room for overclocking. Also any suggestions on software to check the stability of any potential overclock (Prime95 etc) is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Aida64 and Intel Extreme + Prime95 are good tests.

use aida64 or occt or intel xtu for stability testing

 

and aida64 for temps also
